Mission Statement

To develop and implement programs to serve the needs of youth and families, improve housing for the poor, close digital divide, serve as a neighborhood improvement/revitalization/community development center, to improve the quality of life for the neighborhood residents and the total community.

Our History

Manna Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3)  organization founded by Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church March 1996 for the purpose of developing and implementing programs that will address the needs of youth and families in the local neighborhood.  Located in an  economically disadvantaged neighborhood of approximately 75% African-Americans, our organization is uniquely suited to meet the needs of the residents.  We are African Americans with rooted ties to the neighborhood where we serve, and not similar to many other organizations because we live or work in the neighborhood, and are  members of the founding institution that has been in this location for 115 years.  As a result, our model of providing needed  services to those   persons not affiliated nor requiring  affiliation with our founding institution, or any other institution similar to our founding institution can be replicated in many other comparable neighborhoods.

Vision Statement

Manna Ministries, Inc. is dedicated to “Resurrecting a Dying Community.” We envision restoring a once beautiful and vibrant community to a state where its natural beauty is recaptured, where the sights and sounds of a thriving people are experienced, and where  the benefits of a productive community allows for the power of positive potential to be birthed in the lives of residents.
